While the Nintendo Wii does offer a variety of racing games, there is not one that really stands out in the crowd. Partially to blame for this is the unfamiliarity of using motion control steering. It makes it somewhat hard to maneuver, and at times can be confusing for the average gamer. While wii is a great contender in the gaming industry, it lacks appeal when it comes to these types of games. If racing is what you are looking for, wii may not be the answer for you.
If you are the owner of a Wii and are trying to get some good racing games, do not feel like all hope is lost. In this display you will find from the least likeable to the favorites of three racing games which are all for Wii and each one is worth your money and your time. However, you will also find a few that you may want to consider, these are the ones which are said to be the best that Nintendo currently has to offer for the Wii.
To start off is the Excite Truck. Excite Truck was actually a Wii launch title. This doesn't have either local or online racing. However, what it does have is total speed, which is something other games have yet to see.

Like similar games, with Excite Truck you use the Wii remote in the horizontal position as the steering wheel. You turn the remote left and right to steer as if you were driving an actual car. You can use the boost at any time by pressing the D-pad, but be careful, using this too much will cause your engine to overheat - costing you valuable time. The scenery is really good along the racing path, although the game itself may be overly simple. Still - it's worth renting it to give it a try even if you're not ready to buy it.
Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, 'Need for Speed Carbon', does not disappoint. The newest addition in the 'Need for Speed' series, this game takes it to an entirely new level. Offering the gamer detailed customization options such as paint job, rims and engine gives the game unending playability.
